Tip #21…Value
of Practical Skills Part 4/ Those Annoying Pop-ups Part 1
Hi!
- Greetings from Moscow, Idaho.
- This is Stephen Beck with FamilyEbiz.com.
Before we get
started:
One of the hardest things about selling on the
internet is discouragement. There are so many things to learn and and no one to
stand over your shoulder to show you exactly what to do. I am trying my best to
help you, through these newsletters, but it is not the same thing as having me
or someone else spend time with you, custom-tailoring advice to your
unique situation.
One of the ways to overcome this is by attending
an internet marketing seminar. There, you will meet experts who will show you
things that work and give you proven ideas to implement. You will also meet
others seminar attendees who are just like you. Some will be further along and
some will be a little behind, but all will be willing to share information and
encouragement. Plus, it is just a lot of fun!
Fun that may change the way you make a living.
With this in mind, you really need to consider
Armand Morin’s Big Seminar this November 4th-6th in Los
Angeles. When it comes to learning about internet marketing - making a living on
the internet - this is hands down, the BEST internet marketing conference out
there (and I have been to a few!)

Seminar website:

One way to take advantage of the Big Seminar is
to listen to the fre*e preview calls. You do not have to even register to attend
the Big Seminar to listen to these. Armand will have 14 in all. Think about
it...every speaker is going to give great internet secrets away on these calls
to entice you to come, so you can pick up a ton of information just listening
to the calls.

preview calls:

The Value of Practical
Skills IV
Continuing our study on the value of teaching
practical skills to your children, here are two more: 3. Practical skills bring us down to earth. Far from enticing boys not to go to college, I
have found that spending an entire summer mowing lawns encourages young men to
pursue college with a vigor. And a summer roofing houses in the hot Texas sun
will cause your son to enter post-doctoral studies! He may not want to rely on
that skill for a living, unless he can parlay it into a business where he does
not have to be the one on the roof! I believe that every person in the ministry
should work in the business world for a period of time. They would have a
greater appreciation for the pressures and temptations that their parishioners
face in the modern work environment. They would also be less apt to ask their
congregation to do things (or programs) that compete with make time and energy
spent with their families. If more pastors came from the real world of work or
had to earn a part-time living while ministering, they would have more respect
from those inside and outside of the church. Practical skills and hard work help
to harness the intellect and bring it under submission to God. They also teach
us to evaluate priorities and situations wisely. 4. Practical skills were modeled by Paul and
Christ. We have already seen Paul’s example, but why do
you think God chose to be a carpenter? Surely, studying to be a teacher or rabbi
would have been more conducive to His future ministry! Or perhaps an attorney.
After all, He would spend a lot of time making arguments and counter-arguments
with the Pharisees and Sadducees. No, He chose a skill that would exemplify
strength, endurance, patience and worth. He was giving an example to follow.
Next time we will look at three more reasons
why practical skills are important in this modern age.

Homeschool Convention entitled, The Value of Practical Skills. If you

Practica Those Annoying Pop-ups! Part 1Steve, I hate that annoying pop-up on your website. Will
you please take it down?I
get this a lot and here is my answer...no. I know they can be annoying,
but they are a very valuable part of my marketing plan and I will show
you why it should be a part of yours and how you can make them less
annoying. First, what should be your number one goal if you sell on the
internet? To find people who like and trust you and are willing to hear
what you have to say. You want to give them as much information as
possible and recommend products or services that will help them in
their endeavors. In order to do this well, you will have to make to
make it consistent and convenient. Your readers need to see your
information on a regular basis because absence on the internet does not
make the heart grow fonder...it makes them forget you. Your readers
will also forget to visit your site on a regular basis, so make it
convenient for them by appearing in their email box once a week! Now,
the only way to appear in their email box once a week is to get
their...you guessed it...email address. And the best way to get their
email address is to make them click on a link on your website which
takes them to a sign-up page, make them fill out a lot of personal
information, confirm their email address...No, of course not!Who has time
for all that? Remember, I said you want to make it easy for them to get
your information. So, you create a pop-up that tells them about your
free newsletter (loaded with lots of tips they will benefit from) and
then all you need is their first name and email. You want the first
name so that you can personalize the email, but if you ask for any
more, they will move on. Now, you can enter the name and the email into
your auto-responder list and viola, they are now getting your wonderful
benefit-laden information on a regular schedule and you don't have to
mess with it anymore. They read your great content, see your reviews or
recommendations on a few products and start ordering over your shopping
cart. Isn't that easy?Next time, I will show you how to reduce the
annoyance of pop-ups as well as how to get your own popup! In the
meantime, you may want to look at Armand Morin's pop-over generator. http://www.familyebiz.com/popovergenerator.htmWarmly in
Christ,
