13…The Psalm 112 Man Part II / Product, Product, Product
- April
16,
2005
- Greetings
from Moscow, Idaho!
- This is
Stephen Beck with Family Entrepreneurs.
-
- Before we
get started:
-
- We are coming to
Texas May 1 and staying through July 4. If you would like to bring a
Teen Business Workshop to your area check out this link:

-
- The Psalms 112
Man II
- We are continuing our
walk through Psalm 112 and how this man is held up as the model for
all Christian men, much as the Proverbs 31 woman is held up as the
model Christian woman.
-
- 5 A good man deals
graciously and lends; He will guide his affairs with discretion.
-
- Again, he lends
because he is not servant to another lender. He deals graciously
because he has margin. He is not on the ragged edge emotionally or
financially. Now, I am not saying that all people who are
having a hard time making ends meet are immature spiritually. But I
will say that in this country, most financial troubles can be
attributed to not knowing biblical principles or the desire for
instant gratification. I know because I have been there!
-
- 6 Surely he will
never be shaken; The righteous will be in everlasting remembrance. 7
He will not be afraid of evil tidings; His heart is steadfast,
trusting in the LORD. 8 His heart is established; He will not be
afraid, Until he sees his desire upon his enemies. 9 He has dispersed
abroad, He has given to the poor; His righteousness endures forever;
-
- This man is a rock. He
is a hoss! He is what every man desires to be and what every parent
desires for their son. And it all comes from the Lord. Now look what he will do with this well earned power,
wealth and prestige:
-
- His horn will be
exalted with honor. 10 The wicked will see it and be grieved; He will
gnash his teeth and melt away; The desire of the wicked shall perish.
-
- This is why God
prospers righteous men. To spread His glory through their influence
and to bust the chops of the wicked! Seriously, who are the shapers of
society? Who wields the real power in any small town (or large town
for that matter)? The politicians may put on a pompous show, but it is
the businessmen and the city leaders that they defer to when making
decisions for a community.

- Product, Product, Product
- Ask any real estate professional
what are the three most important characteristics of a piece of
property and they will all say the same thing…location, location and
location! That is because location is the single most important
characteristic of a piece of real estate. In fact, it outweighs all
other factors combined! So, what are the three most important
characteristics of your small business or internet business? Product, product and product!
-
- What do I mean? Well, without
product, you have no reason to be in business. In fact, without
product, you are not even considered a business. We have
already talked about having multiple products at multiple price
points. This allows many different people who have many different
budgets to buy your products in many different formats. One person
likes to read and another likes to listen. Offer the same product in
both formats. Actually some people like to see and hear and that would
be another format (can you say DVD?!?) Now, all of this sounds great,
but how do you get multiple products at multiple price points? Well, I
am glad you asked! And we will do this David Letterman style.
-
- The top ten ways to get
multiple products at multiple price points!
- (drum roll, please)
-
- #10 - Find someone else who has a great
product and buy it from him at wholesale. You then sell it on your
website for retail. Check out Chris Malta’s site for this. He has a list of wholesalers in every
area you can imagine. Sydney Johnston’s Auction Genius Course also tells you how to find wholesalers.
-
- #9 - Find a wholesaler who will drop-ship to your customer. You take the
order on your website and tell the wholesaler who to send the product
to. You pocket the difference. Again, see Chris Malta’s site for this.
-
- #8 - Become an affiliate for someone else. You put a link on your site or
email loop or Yahoo group that leads your customers to their site and
when your customer buys the product, you get a commission check. For a
list of downloadable products, check out Clickbank In fact, you get read my article on Clickbank and even get my step by step instructions on how to use Clickbank.
-
- #7 - Do a search on overture and find a topic that lots of people are interested in.
Then write an Ebook to satisfy the need. You can either be the expert
or the reporter who interviews experts. Then compile the information
into an E- book. Here are some programs that I use to create my Ebooks.
-
- #6 - Find interesting people and interview them. Record the interview
(over the phone or face to face) and then burn it to a CD. Add a cool
cover and viola, you have a $10-$20 product that cost you $2 to
produce. Make sure you interview someone whom your customers will find
interesting. Someone who fits your niche well.
-
- #5 - Produce a tutorial video. Are you pretty good with a certain
computer program? How long did it take you to get started the first
time you pulled it out of the box? Would you have been willing to pay
a few dollars to have a simple, 30 minute video on how to get started
because the software manufacturer was too stupid to put the directions
in plain English? Well, make your own easy-to-understand tutorial! You can purchase a software program called Camtasia that will allow
capture your computer screen, mouse movements and voice on video while
you explain how to use Front Page or Quick Books or the secrets of
Halo II!
-
- #4 - Use the program above, Camtasia, to create an advanced tutorial for a software program that you know pretty well. Perhaps the secrets
or the things you have learned along the way. If you are a book
keeper, show someone how to set up their books. Quick Books for Pet
Stores. Quick Books for Lawn Care Services. Quick Books for Internet
Marketers!
-
- #3 - Find out what sells well on Ebay and find related products. Don’t
try to go head to head with big sellers on Ebay selling the exact same
product. Find something that compliments their product. If someone is
selling a lot of camcorders, sell the camcorder bags that go with
them. If someone is selling a lot of hiking boots, sell the socks to
go with them (the nice kind that do not ride down and get all wadded
up under your foot!) And do not sell one pair of socks at a time. Sell
a set of five. Do not sell one dress shirt at a time, sell a set of
four in complimentary colors. Again, an excellent resource for Ebay
and creative ways to use it is Sydney Johnston’s Auction Genius Course.
-
- #2 – If you already have a popular page, consider putting Google Adsense
on it. Google will place ads on your page relevant to your content and
everytime someone clicks on one of those ads, you get paid. It may
only be a quarter, but if you get hundreds of clicks a day, it can
really add up.
-
- And the #1 way to find
multiple products at multiple price points is…
- Become an affiliate for Familyebiz and sell my DVD course, “How
to Start Your Own Business…For Families and Teens!” Seriously,
what could be better for all of your websites, homeschool email loops,
Yahoo groups, newsgroups, etc. than a course designed to teach
families to start their own businesses! J Think about it. A ready made product that allows you to make $30 for
each sale and the only thing you have to do is recommend it! This link
will give all the details: Affiliates for the Family Business DVD.
-
- Well, there you
have it. Ten ways to develop a variety of things to offer your
customers, at a variety of prices and in a variety of formats. And I
saved the best idea till last! So start accumulating product TODAY!
