Keyword Research Analyzer
If you have read my stuff for any length of time, you
will know that I stress keyword research before selling ANYTHING on the
internet. And the best place to find out what topic or product people
are searching on and how many other websites are competing for the same
search term is Wordtracker. In fact, you can see my
review on Wordtracker here.
But one of the problems with Wordtracker is its
thoroughness. Yes, you read that right. Wordtracker will un-earth so
many keywords that you can not process them all. How do you pick the
very best keywords? Which keywords give you the biggest bang for your
buck? How can you use keywords to tell what your product line should be?
How many keywords to use?
Basically, how do you effectively research 11,000
keywords on a topic and incorporate that research into your web pages in
order to achieve top ten rankings in Google? Well, read on...
Review:
What does it do?
Keyword Research Analyzer uses the data you get from
Wordtracker and allows you to sort
it in a variety of ways. You can choose one filter and see all of the
keywords that have a minimum of 100 people in the last 60 days searching
on that term. Or you can choose another filter to see only the search
terms that have a KEI of 5 or more (KEI is a metric that Wordtracker
uses to measure the level of demand for a product versus the number of
competing pages for that product). Or you could do both at the same
time!
You can also take a niche like "dogs" and
select only for the keywords that have to do with "hunting dogs" or only
the keywords having to do with "guard dogs" or maybe the keywords having
to do with "obedience training". Basically, Keyword Research Analyzer
allows you to not only research a niche thoroughly and cherry pick the
best keywords, but also allows you to find niches within niches so that
you can grab all that targeted, un-tapped traffic. Remember, search
engines rank pages, not sites! If you can find a term that 20 people a
day search on with no competing sites...then you have 20 fresh customers
coming to your site EVERY DAY!
What would you
pay for that?!?
Things I Like:
Keyword Research Analyzer is very easy to use. All you do is cut and
paste the Wordtracker data into the software and it does the rest. If
you tried to do all that Keyword Research analyzer does with a spread
sheet...well, you had better bone up on those spread sheet skills,
because you will need a PhD in spreadsheetology!
Also, you can't beat the price on this one. I spend more
when I take my family of five to a nice restaurant, and this
software will pay you back the cost over and over in saved time and tons
of customers seeing your website for the first time (and of course,
buying your stuff!).
Things I Would Change:
There is one problem I found and it really is not the
software's fault. Sometimes Wordtracker will have a corruption in some
of its data and list a term as having 5.02 competing pages. Well, we all
know that you either have 5 or you have 6 competing pages, but not 5.02
competing pages. So, when Keyword Research Analyzer sees a non-integer
where there is supposed to be an integer, it gives an error message.
The way to combat this is to find the offending data and
round it to the nearest integer or whole number. This is fairly easy to
do in a spread sheet and I show how to correct the data in the video
above, but Andy, the author, is already working on this problem and will
have it corrected in the next version...which will be free to those who
purchase the current version.
Rating: (Featuring
the Beefy/Nacho Cheese Rating System)
For the ease and simplicity of this software as compared
to its effectiveness, I give this product a 5/5.

Highest rating will be 5 "T"-bones.
