Did you know that 86% of all information products go unread?

Wow! People pay hundreds of dollars for a solution to their problem and then never bother to use it. Why is that? Maybe, it’s because we are social animals. We are built for relationship. We
learn best when the information is explained and demonstrated right in front of us.

We also do best when people are there to encourage us and hold us accountable. How many marriages would survive if there where no in-laws, family or friends to help see us through the rough spots.

That’s why I encourage everyone to go to a least one live event or workshop this year regarding their online business. You will find people there who will encourage you and support you. You will be inspired by their triumphs and ideas. You will be spurred on to take action.

But you will also find accountability. I have a Master Mind meeting on January 13 and there will be 15 people asking me what I have accomplished in the last 3 months. That is a lot of
accountability! It forces me to set deadlines, generate products and improve the things I’ve already got going.

So, go to a LIVE event this year. There is a very inexpensive one listed below and it’s only one day so you won’t spend a fortune in hotel costs and food. But whatever you do, go out and meet some
people who are like-minded, will hold you accountable to your goals and dreams, and will give you the encouragement and support you need to succeed!

3 Big Reasons to Attend a Live Event

It’s amazing how many people from all over the world STILL attend live events, seminars and workshops hoping to improve their own small business. You would think that with the coming of webinars, online meetings and U-stream, that live events would die a quick death.

So why would all these people leave the comfort of their own homes to cram into a meeting room with a bunch of strangers for two full days? They know they don’t have all the answers and they also realize the benefits of attending a LIVE event seminar or workshop.

Let me share with you 3 reasons you should attend one as well.

Reason #1 – Life-Changing Content

When I attend a well-organized workshop or seminar, I’m astonished at the amount of content the speakers give in their talks. Last weekend, I came home with a notebook full of ideas and
notes that I could implement immediately.

Speakers have to give really good nuggets from the stage to prove they know their stuff. And those nuggets are pure gold for the person wanting to improve their online or offline business!

Reason #2 – Contacts You Won’t Get With E-Mail or the Phone

A weekend conference allows small business owners to network and find others to create joint ventures. When I eat lunch with other entrepreneurs, I usually always walk away with a new tip or a
partner for a new project.

Just last weekend at lunch, I found a new way to promote a conference and my husband found a partner for his new project. Networking is definitely a bonus when you attend LIVE business
conferences.

When you rub shoulders with other entrepreneurs and small business owners, you make friends and contacts with people that “get it”. Too often, those in the 9-5 job arena just don’t see the world
through entrepreneurial glasses. Attending a small business workshop allows you to spend time with others that do “get it”.

Think about how difficult it would be to call a nationally known speaker and visit with him about your small business. But at a LIVE event, these speakers freely share the strategy that made them
successful in the first place.

Most speakers spend the break time in the hallway so you have full access to them and their knowledge. No more waiting for a returned phone call or e-mail. Just walk on up to them and ask your questions.

Most business workshops, seminars and conferences are tax-deductible. You will need to check with your CPA, but I suspect you can write-off your small business workshop as a tax deduction. Hey, what a great way to travel the country and improve your bottom line …all on Uncle Sam’s tab!

Why get second-hand information when you can attend a LIVE event and get the information straight from the horse’s mouth! Start looking for a small business workshop nearby…one that provides a plan and online strategy for your own business.
