Last week we told you about a social media site that can really help your business. Today I want to share about it.
You might be saying to yourself, “What is Twitter? It sounds like stream of conscious thinking…with no real point.” That was my initial reaction (& Steve’s too). I thought it was a complete waste of time to twitter what I was doing. Until I used it for business.
A few weeks ago we hosted a webinar about getting more customers. We had 576 visitors to our webinar page. 68 of our visitors were from twitter. That means 11% came directly from twitter. How cool is that! A new way to drive traffic and get visitors to your sites.
If you need more visitors, take a look at twitter. In fact, you can follow me on twitter and see what I”m doing. You can set up a free account and then start following others.

When you get there, just find the follow button. You can watch our twitters to see what kinds of things we twitter about.
Steve & I are in Yanik Silver’s mastermind and he said the same thing earlier this year. “Twitter is a waste of time.” But, he changed his mind as he saw the value of using it in his business.
Before I leave, I want you to know that I DO NOT twitter only promotions. I try to balance my “tweets” with personal comments, posts to other people’s sites, responding to others and finally tweets about a promotion.
If all you do is tweet about your articles or your promotions, twitterville will get tired of you and not read what you are writing.

I am with you on the over promotion thing. As for me, I tend to lurk and learn.
Glad to stay in touch this way.
BTW, you may not remember me, Steve, but I bought your Ebiz course two years ago. My thanks to you I am growing and learning this business. I ghostwrite for some “gurus” and am finally coming up with my own stuff. Just thought you’d like to know one of your students is “doing it”.
Thanks again and I will be in touch! tweet tweet
