Internet-based training is one of the most efficient activities that you can engage in. Instead of creating one product at a time, you can create multiple products. The training is itself a product, but you can also record the video and turn that into a product. You can also record the audio and turn that into a product as well.

In addition, the transcripts can be captured from the training by a transcriber. These can be turned into a product also. You can even take the Powerpoint presentation that you use for the training and turn that into a product, such as a workbook or a bonus as part of a larger product.

As an added bonus, I can most likely also take the transcript and break it up into pieces and potentially get around 50 articles that now I can blast to article directories, which of course helps my ranking in Google due to backward links. So by having one product, I can with minimal effort, turn it into four products at once through webinars.

Internet based training also has the added benefit of being able to reach a large group of people at once. With average conversion rates ranging anywhere from 10% to 30%, this is an excellent form of leverage. Even 33% has been a rate I have seen in the past. Can you imagine the payday you will receive if you have 100 participants and 33 of the buy your product? Sometimes the rates can be lower also.

However, the point is that webinars convert like crazy. They allow you to communicate one time to many, many people. If you are tired of those one to one sales calls, you owe it to yourself to give webinars a really, really close look.

Think about this: if somebody registers for my webinar, well that is a big indicator right there that the person is interested in what I have to say. If they attend my webinar they are even more interested. If they stay on my webinar for sixty minutes, they are really, really interested. The person who stays until the end of the webinar and fills out my exit survey is even more interested.

The bottom line is that you will not get a 100% conversion from marketing webinars for your products and services. The majority of the people who attend your webinar will not make a buying decision immediately. Using this qualification strategy allows you to do a more effective job at following up.

You stand a much better chance at making money by following up with responders to a webinar than those who did not respond to your webinar. What a responder has done is raise their hands and essentially indicate that they are interested in what you have to say. If your prospective customers have not raised their hands, should you market to them before those who have? Of course not! The reason why is because someone who has responded is significantly more likely to buy from you if you have the right follow up. Non-responders can be a waste of time and money.

With marketing webinars you know exactly who are the best prospects to spend your time and effort on. Using this strategy shows you who are most likely to make a decision to purchase your product or service and which customers you should spend your efforts following up with.

A webinar is a great way to identify interested people, who are interested in your products and services. You know before spending a dime that they are a much better investment than the general public.

One factor that drives the number of participants for a live webinar is the entertainment factor but there are other elements that drive participation as well.

First of all, they keep people’s attention long enough to get your point across. Many people have products and services that do not easily break down into a fifteen second commercial. Or a quick glance at a newspaper ad. If you are selling products, it is important to get the attention of your customer and keep it long enough to get a complicated idea across to make a sale.

A live webinar is one of the most interactive exposures you can have for your business. You can generate instant feedback with it. One thing I like to do on my webinars is ask the participants if they can hear me. They reply instantly and I can react accordingly. It does not matter what question you ask them, you can use this feature to target the direction you want to go on the webinar.

Polls are another great feature of webinars. I can make up any questions I want and poll my audience and then display the results to them immediately. This is a fun and interactive way to get your listeners involved and engaged during your webinar. As you conduct a poll you can actual see the percentage of your listeners who are participating in your poll. Sometimes I play up the poll by telling my listeners that I have responses from 53% of them and I am going to close the poll in about 10 seconds if they want to respond. It is amazing to see the results pour in. After I close the poll, I can then show the results to my listeners to make this even more interactive. All of this is of course in real time.

Since my business is based on selling information products online, when I conduct a webinar I ask my customers what their challenges are. Some of the responses I get on my live webinar are difficulty in understanding technology, no good ideas, the inability to find the time and no step-by-step game plan. This question allows me to make sure I cover the challenges that my participants are having so that the webinar is more relevant to them. I then know where my audience is at and can adjust accordingly.

Webinars are a great type of event you can use to build your business. I credit a major portion of my success to them and you can duplicate my results if you are willing to hold your own live webinar.

However, peer pressure also helped me to find a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, minister to people in other countries and eventually have a good marriage and become a good parent.

You see, peer pressure can be a force for good or evil (like many powerful forces in this world). Peer pressure, when done right, can push you further than you could ever go by yourself.

That’s why I’ve been a member of a master mind group this past year. A group of entrepreneurs who by their words and example push me further than I could ever go by myself …and at a much faster pace!

Through the help of my master mind, I doubled my business this year. And I plan on doubling it again this year.

Let me tell you a few things I plan to implement for 2009.

1. Put my list building on steroids

I plan to do a webinar every month with someone who has a large list that caters to my target market. Not only will I sell a lot of products, I will also add a lot of people to my monthly continuity …and the best part …I will be building my list for future sales at the same time.

You see, everyone who registers for my webinar is added to my list …whether they buy or not! Each webinar may add 500 or more people to my list at a time.

Can you do this? Sure you can! Just follow my example.

And where will I find the people with big lists? Well, I’ll tell you one thing …I’ll start with the people in my master mind! Peer pressure is a wonderful thing.

2. Create a master mind of my own

I have gained so much from the master mind that Kerry and I are currently in, that we want to start one of our own and give back.

You see, you can’t get into the master mind that we’re currently in. But we don’t want you to miss out on the exponential growth that we’ve been experiencing, so we’re creating one for our readers (more on that later).

3. Creating products with other people

I am creating two major products with famous people this year that may just take the Internet world by storm. That is one thing I have learned from my master mind – I DON’T have to do everything all by myself.

That’s been a hard lesson to learn.

When I started out in Internet marketing, I was a poor seminary student without a job. I didn’t have the money to outsource things like web pages, graphics, teleseminar recordings, etc. So I learned to do everything myself.

But my master mind (peer pressure) has been telling me to outsource more and to joint venture with others more. When you create a product with someone, you get the synergy of both people. And the marketing horsepower of both your lists!

So, I hope I’ve demonstrated that peer pressure can be a good thing. When it pushes you beyond your comfort zone to achieve things you never thought possible. When it gives you ideas that hit you like a bolt of lightning. And when it reminds you to do the little things that you know you should be doing and got you to where you were in the first place.

Here’s to 2009 and the power of peer pressure!
