Imagine the perfect business with me…
A visitor comes to your site and the first thing she sees is an
invitation to your newsletter. Now, she may not want another
newsletter in her inbox at this point, but as she reads, she is
intrigued.
“Hey, this guy thinks the way I do! This guy actually makes
sense. I think I will subscribe to his newsletter and see what he
has to say.”
Autoresponder #1 has done his job.
(This is called a contact management online autoresponder, but
don’t let the big name scare you!)
Then your visitor clicks on one of your product reviews. She
reads the good, the bad and the ugly of the product you are
reviewing. She sees the value of the product and appreciates the
candidness of the “things you would change” and decides to buy
the product.
Of course, you have added a bonus to the product and she gets
that in her email box immediately after she has purchased the
product.
Autoresponder #2 has done his job.
About 7 days later, your customer gets an email asking her how
she is enjoying the product. Did she find it helpful? Did it
fulfill her expectations? Was it worth the price she paid?
Then, the email asks her for a short testimony that you can share
with others on your product web page. She emails her testimony.
Autoresponder #3 has done his job.
Each week your customer gets another email helping them with the
product and explaining things the product can do. The emails also
give your customer tips on how to use the product to expand their
business or how to make more beautiful scrapbooks or how to save
money on their next purchase…or whatever your product is
about.
This helps keep your customer happy and reduces the likelihood
that they will return your product. Remember, many people will
not even use your product (especially informational products),
unless you encourage them to.
Autoresponders #4 – #10 have done their jobs.
Finally, customers that have purchased your $10 ebook may be
interested in your $75 home study course, right? Or customers
that have bought your math homeschool curriculum may be
interested in your literature unit study, do you think?
Every few weeks, your customer gets an email recommending another
product that is related to the one they just purchased. She sees
the relationship. She has been wanting a product like that for
some time, but didn’t know where to find it and you have just
brought it to her attention.
She clicks on the link in the email and purchases the related
product.
Autoresponder #11 has done his job.
I hope you are seeing the value of my secret agents,
autoresponders #1 – #11. They work while I am doing other
things…like developing product, spending time with my family
and yes, even while I am sleeping.
They have done their job well and I will be taking them out to
dinner to celebrate another record breaking year for FamilyEbiz.
Would you like to use my secret agents, autoresponders #1-#11?
Sorry, but they only work for me. But you can recruit your own
and I will show you how next time.
In the mean time, you may want to check out where the
autoresponders gather at:

Take a peek at the autoresponder package.
(For the technically minded, think of it as a web database autoresponder solution
for a work at home based business seeking automatic Internet.)
Blessings,
Stephen Beck
