Excellent Steve … just what I have been looking for … and the right price too. Thankyou so much. I will go for it, and let you know what happens.

Hi Steve,
Thank you for some really insperational ideas through your news letters, I have a question,
We live in New Zealand and want to know if affiliate products have to be local ? If not are comissions paid in US dollars?
And last but not least What is the first step?

In God we trust

Ross,

Affiliate products do not have to be local because you are directing your visitors to affiliate sites all over the world.

As far as payment, if you use the big three affiliate “clearing houses” like ClickBank, Linkshare and Share-a-Sale…they usually pay in US dollars.

Meaning, you can sign up with one of these affiliate “clearing houses” and gain access to literally thousands of companies. And the neat thing is that you get one check from the clearing house. You don’t get a dozen checks from a dozen different companies.

Of course, there are many independent affiliate programs as well. If you see a cool site that has a product you would like to promote, look at the web site’s links and see if they have an affiliate program.

Where to start? You can sign up for a free account with any of the big affiliate “clearing houses” and grab a text link from their “get links” page that will have your unique affiliate information included. You can then write a few paragraphs recommending the product and at the end of your recommendation write: “for more details, click on the link below”.

You can post your recommendation and text affiliate link in an email, on a blog, on a news group, on a Yahoo group, on your web site…basically anywhere you can leave a message, you can use your affiliate link.

One thing you should keep in mind. When you recommend a product, keep it simple, keep it short and tell your reader what is in it for them. How will they benefit from this product? Will it save them time? Will it save them money? Will it make them money? Will it save them pain?

How will this product you are recommending help them do what they want to do? And once you find a few related products, you can create a niche site. For an example of this, visit:

I hope this helps. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask!

Blessings,

Steve Beck
