What courses would you recommend to teach me how to
1.) Discover a Niche
2.) Search Engine Optimization.

I do not have an ebook or product to sell. I train and show dogs
in obedience and agility and we train horses too. I am interested
in researching those areas first.

I already have a puppy training book that I wrote about 10 years
ago that I could easily make into an ebook! I found out that
18,356 people searched for puppy training in the month of March,
and that didn’t even include all the sub categories that would
apply to this little ebook as well.

I am interested in your “all encompassing” course you are
creating because I trust you and because you have already been so
helpful to me. Thank you.

There are so many excellent, yet expensive products out there to
get me started on this business. But I have decided to focus on
what you offer and recommend, because you are a man of God and I
trust your advice and help. Your priorities are in order, God,
family, then business. I’m getting overwhelmed researching
everything and I am wasting precious time.

Here is my answer to her:

Bev,

It sounds like you have a good game plan. Here are the steps I
would take:

First, since you already have the puppy training book, convert it
into a pdf file and list it with ClickBank. A great piece of
software for creating pdf’s is deskPDF. Make sure to include
clickable links back to your web site in your ebook.

You will need to write a compelling sales letter for your ebook
before you submit it to ClickBank. The best sales letter tool I
know of is sales letter generator. You can find it here:

Now, as to creating a website…

==> Step 1

Choose either horses or dogs as your topic.

Next, write down about 15 niches within the topic you choose. For
example: puppy obedience, puppy health, puppy hunting
training…etc.

Use keyword research to help you decide which of those 15 niches
has the highest demand AND the least competition

- Research the keywords in Wordtracker (you can use it for a day

==> Step 2

Find products that will go with your niche (either affiliate
programs, hard goods or create your own).

You can search the major affiliate programs to help with this
like ClickBank, Commission Junction and Share-a-Sale. I have a

==> Step 3

Get a domain name that relates to your niche, get some web
hosting, build a web page and list the products on your web page.
If you are selling only affiliate products, you will not need a
shopping cart.

If you start selling hard goods or your own products (except if
you are selling them through ClickBank), then you will need to
use a shopping cart. Paypal has a nice free shopping cart and
they will allow you to accept credit cards as well.

==> Step 4

You will want to start collecting your visitor’s emails and then
keep in regular contact with them through a newsletter…which
can be tied to a blog if you wish.

These are the steps.

Will it happen overnight?

Not on your life!

But if you are persistent and devote 1-2 hours a day to it, you
will be making an income within a month. How much will depend on
how much you work at it and how good your research is in step 1!
