Steve,
I have greatly enjoyed your newsletters. I have, for a variety of reasons, put off trying to put some of your ideas into practice; I can see the light at the end of the tunnel now though and have been talking with my girls about giving all of this a whirl. I appreciate all the info and will keep you posted if and when we get off the ground.

Hi Stephen

I thoroughly enjoyed your rant as this is my favorite topic at the moment. As the owner of a new website, I am so excited by the potential that an online business offers ANYONE with a bit of brains and motivation.
As a homeschooling mom of 5, I can share MY passion and soon I will be earning some dollars from my niche. What fun!
This is also a great way to ‘go out into all the world and tell the Good News’ – I have built webpage about our Savior’s free gift to us.

If anyone thinks that they can’t do this because they have no technical skills, YOU CAN. I am using a great product that has taught me step by step all that I need to know. I don’t know if it is good etiquette to post the details here, (I am new to all this blogging etc) but if anyone is interested they will find it on my site.

I love the way you bring a Biblical perspective to building a business. So much of the info ‘out there’ is so worldly and materialistic that it is good to get some balance. I am also plodding through Randy Alcorn’s book, Money, Possessions, and Eternity which is a very challenging read!

Keep it coming.

Regards
Shirley

Steve,

You are so right:

“they are really just asking for a way to trade their time (a priceless commodity) for a flat rate (a common commodity that will meet short term needs).”

I wince at the universality of this mind-set, especially here in our rural county, where an hour of precious time = minimum wage or less.

Even when folks come to us, seeking our advice or help in setting up a “business” of their own… the main concern is “How much will I earn an hour, who writes my paycheck, and what about the insurance?”

I wish I had the the ability to pass the vision you are presenting here to the folks in our circle and our community.

Best Wishes,
Jim Erskine
