I know a lot of people who have an idea for an internet business. They just need to know where to begin. When we talk, I encourage them to learn how to find and use keywords in their niche. Keywords are crucial because they are the basic building blocks when you start an internet business. You use keywords in your articles. Google finds your keywords in your titles and in the body of your article and ranks your page higher. People find your page because you are closer to the top, and you get more traffic. With more traffic comes more sales. It is that simple.

So it makes no sense to just pull keywords out of thin air. People will not find your articles that way. Once article can include up to five or six keywords, so I let the keywords dictate what I write about. All that matters is what people want to know. If you keep that in mind, you will get very rich on the internet.

You also want to use your top keyword in the title of your article near the beginning. For example, if you do a search on “webinar strategy,” you might find this article, “Webinar Strategy – Four Ways To Promote Your Business.” Someone looking for information on webinar strategy will find this article and read it because it is exactly what they are looking for.

Keep in mind that your title should help you rank higher in the search engines, but it should also peak your reader’s curiosity. If it is interesting, people are more likely to read it. Remember that you want them to see you as an expert in your niche. You also want to generate some backward links and have them sign up to be on your list.

One more use for keywords is to include them in various places throughout your article. You can even use your less competitive keywords, and Google will rank your article higher for those. Think of it as getting the most bang for your buck.

So begin by doing your research. Figure out exactly what people are typing into the search engines for your niche. Then use those keywords as much as possible. You will see a difference in the amount of traffic AND your sales!

It is a complete home study course on how to start a PROFITABLE
FAMILY BUSINESS on the Internet.

Actually, we had some controversy.

As my panel of judges read through all of the posts, one post in
particular seemed to rise above the others. The writer had clear
goals for the course if she won.

First, she wanted to use the course to bless her family and
hopefully allow her husband to quit his day job. Then she wanted
to use the course to give her children entrepreneurial skills so
they would not have to get on the 9-5 treadmill when they got
older.

And last, she wanted to use the course to influence other women
to NOT LEAVE THEIR HOMES in search of career fulfillment and a
better lifestyle while sacrificing their children in the process.

I hope you can see why our panel of judges chose her.

There was one problem. Her comment was over 100 words.

Quite frankly, I and my panel of judges missed that. But one of
my readers didn’t. He wrote me three emails complaining that it
was unfair and that she wrote too many words and that she was a
hard luck case.

I replied that the abundance of words did not help her win, but
it did not outright disqualify her either. She won based on her
clear goals and the fact that she would use the course for a
cause greater than her immediate family.

My reader was not convinced…

“How can I trust you Steve if you can’t keep your word before God
and man?  I don’t understand. We all have to give an account
someday for our actions before God!”

Perhaps he has a point. So here is what I am going to do.

Pamela (the woman whose email we mentioned above) will
still get her course and we are going to give a second course away.

I am giving away a second course to someone that has exactly 100
words or less. (Actually very few of you stayed under the
100 word mark!)

We just wrapped the Big Seminar in Atlanta with Armand Morin and
boy, do I have a lot to share with you! But it will have to wait
until next time, because I am flying home.

But I did want to ask you about the sample videos for Secrets to
