A common mistake is to assume that a good product is all that you need to be successful. Your product can be great but without good marketing no one will know about it. One vital component to good marketing is good copywriting. If you want to make more sales for your product you must use good copywriting to do so.
Copywriting is vital when promoting online business opportunities. I thought the key to success in promoting real home business opportunities was to have a great product. I was wrong because even though I had new products every month there was no increase in my income. I realized that I had to sell these products to make money. At that point I made a decision to focus on writing good sales copy.
Expert copywriter Joe Sugarman says that good copywriting should cause a person to pay money for a product or service. That is the key to doing it effectively. Here are some strategies I recommend to improve the overall effectiveness of your copywriting.
1. Research
There is an old saying if you fail to plan you plan to fail and this is true with copywriting for online business opportunities. You must research before you write. Research starts with looking at the potential customer. Identify the frustrations and problems that your prospective customer wants solved. Taking this one step will help you to resonate in the mind of your customer and make more sales than your competitors who fail to do this.
As part of your customer research find out if you can identify specific vocabulary the customer uses and biases the customer might have. For example, engineers tend to be very analytical about making decisions. They also use a vocabulary that is unique to their profession.
Learn about your customer so you can draft a sales letter that is focused on that customer, not a general person. Personalization is the key.
In addition to researching your customer you should also research your product. Point out the features and benefits that your product possesses when promoting online business opportunities. Keep a list of them nearby so you can point them out in your copywriting. The features list what the product does. The benefits list how the features help the customer. To identify the benefit, read the features and ask how each feature helps the customer. This is what your customer thinks when he or she reads your sales letter, so make sure you address it.

2. Index Cards
You probably recall index cards being used when writing papers in school. What you may not know is that they are also great for copywriting. When you answer the questions you come up with for the customer put them on the card. This will give you a lot of valuable information about your target customer. You should also include the features and benefits on the card also.
As you create the cards, write down the sentences that you want to include in your sales letter. This gives you a head start in the writing process. You do not need to write the final draft, just the main idea as a reference point.
Taking this extra step will make your life so much easier because you can just use the cards to write. Dan Kennedy taught me this technique.
These simple steps for writing copy for online business opportunities will go a long way towards improving your copy. Skipping these steps however can hinder your efforts to write copy that sells.

Hey, I have a guest article for you today from one of my students …enjoy!
Networking Tips: Networking for Introverts – Event, Process or Part of Life by Patricia Weber, Business Sales Coach for Introverts, Shy and Just Plain Sales Reluctant http://www.profcs.com/app/?Clk=3083266
On a recent teleclass where I answer introvert and shy in business and sales questions, a gentleman observed that my focus for business building seemed to be slanted toward networking. His take was networking are events. I’ve found as an introvert I’ve just thought of networking differently than maybe some extroverts. When I try it the extroverted way, I usually regret it. In all situations, networking is like open-heart surgery: it takes time. Rush it and you may as well have never started it because you can do more damage than good.
Networking groups. A group meets for a purpose and intention of networking, it may have some structure, people say they are committed and members have a similar audience they want to reach. All good ingredients that can get results but the mindset that treats this like an event or process doesn’t find those results.
Networking events. These can be either business or social: Chamber of Commerce, professional organizations monthly or weekly meetings, and specific celebratory events like anniversaries shared with others. When they lean toward business, you often find a mentality in action, “He who leaves with the most business cards wins.” That’s exhausting for an introvert. Really, what is the purpose if you haven’t met someone you want to continue to get to know?
Networking at events with other purposes. Conferences or seminars have networking, but it happens naturally as you move from one activity on the agenda to another. This is a bit more controllable in terms of savoring your energy before, during and after if you are more introverted.
Networking with your current connections. This is where the results are from all of the above, and your life events. Talking with Ms. Amos at church who happens to have a niece in the financial planning business. Ms. Amos says her daughter is considering changing work field. Do you ask yourself, “How can I help with that?” and then if you find you can, do you suggest to Ms. Amos to have her daughter call you?
If someone had a diet that worked, would you ignore it? Then why would you not listen to every conversation, at every path in your life and ask yourself, “How can I be of help? What can I offer to the situation?” Then act on this. Networking is part of life. And don’t rush the surgeon. Perfect for the introvert? With our innate skill set and some strategizing.
Do you want to join learn some better ways to overcome your own networking? Patricia Weber’s 50 page ebook helps introverts, shy and just the networking reluctant, who either might start a business during an economic downturn, or are in business already, yet suffer from a faulty thinking, “My expertise alone is so solid it will bring in sales revenue.” Networking Secrets for Sales Reluctance: How I Overcame Unsuccessful Networking as an Introvert, http://www.profcs.com/app/?Clk=3083266
gives a specific way introverts in particular will appreciate: an internal step by step process with a specific network reluctance beliefs and how to turn them into beliefs that get results in the networking process.

While we were in Minneapolis, we had a great time speaking and getting to know some of our students. Half way through the conference, we visited with Rob Smith, one of the other speakers.
In our conversation, we discovered he was one of our students. Wow! That was really so cool I told him I wanted to work together on a project to promote his product.
Watch your email over the next few weeks because I’m going to share what Rob is doing. That’s one of my favorite things about working with my students – being able to help them make money by telling others about their product.
–> Are you finished with your product? Send me an email and we’ll see what we can do to help you promote it.
–> If you’re not quite done, spend an hour each day this week and finish it so you can contact me.
–> If you aren’t even one of my students and you’d like your own product that sells over & over again, here’s how I can help you. How to Write Ebook
I was also excited to meet some of my new students from the Midwest Conference. Take a look at who they are… Information Marketing Product

Hi
I have been working on a web site for several months that has
taught me quite a bit…and could possibly teach you as well. It
is a web site designed totally around affiliate products and here
is how it works.
I started with keyword research to find my home page and main
pages. I looked for high demand/low competition keywords in a
particular niche and then, let the keywords tell me what people
in that niche wanted to buy.
I then went to affiliate “clearing houses” like ClickBank,
Kolimbo, Red Galoshes, Commission Junction and LinkShare to find
products to meet the need that I knew was there (because I looked
at what they typed into the search engines). For example, if I
found that 20 people a day where searching on “red 16 lb bowling
balls” and there were only 3 competing pages, I would search
these affiliate product “clearing houses” for a company that
sells bowling balls and bowling paraphernalia.
Now think about this.
I have put up a web site that attracts about 70 NEW people every
day and I have let their search engine searches tell me what they
want. I then put found web sites that sell the products they want
and I put those links on my site. Now I get a commission for
every sale that is made.
I have no inventory. I do not collect their credit cards numbers.
I do not have to deal with returns or complaints. I just get a
nice check every month from the different web sites that I
recommend. No heavy lifting required!
AND I recommend a variety of products on each page so that my
visitors are sure to find something that interests them.
Would you like to know what this niche is?
Maybe I shouldn’t tell you! You might go into competition with
me. Oh well, here it is:
Wedding Invitations!
Yeah, you heard right. Something I know next to nothing about,
but still make money at. Why, because I have let the people in a
particular niche tell me what they want through their searches on
the search engines. And I have found those products in these
affiliate product “clearing houses”.
There are a few more tricks that I will develop in subsequent
posts, but the first trick is navigating your way through these
affiliate programs like ClickBank, Commission Junction and
LinkShare. These are complicated sites that can chew up a lot of
time trying to figure out how to apply for the right affiliate
programs, how to search for the right products and how to find
the right affiliate links to put on your web site.
I have spent a great deal of time working with these web sites.
Again, these are not easy sites to navigate.
But, I have made a video tutorial to help you find your way. Of
course these sites are free to use, but if you want the step-by-
step detail of how to set up your account, how to search for
products and how to find the links to put on your web site,
emails, Yahoo groups and newsletters…then you will have to
invest $10.
I will show you every mouse click you need to start profiting
from these sites that carry every imaginable product under the
sun. Even if you already have a web site, couldn’t you stand to
offer your customers a few more choices?
So, save yourself a lot of time and use my video tutorial to
start finding these great products to put on your web site.
And once you do this with one site, then you can find other
niches and create sites for them as well. Pretty soon, you will
have a bunch of mini oil wells…each pumping a little cash into
your pocket.
Enough of those oil wells, and you can say “goodbye” to that 9-5
job!
So, click on the link below to get your copy of the clickBank,
Commission Junction and LinkShare video tutorial:

Blessings,
Stephen Beck

PS. The testimonies are rolling in and my beta testing is coming
to a close. My new product is getting closer and closer to
completion. Now, there will be NO EXCUSE for not having an online
business!

I’m back to my movie-making craze!
A week ago I sent you a video on how I use Wordtracker to find thousands of words that people are searching on in the search engines about your particular product or niche. What that means for you is an additional 100 – 200 people a day looking at your website depending on which keywords you select and how you tie your pages together (more on that in subsequent posts).
Well, today, I want to show you a tool that takes and sorts all those keywords in a blink of an eye and in a very useful way. I am building a reloading site with my daughter, Ashley. She was the 3-time Female Texas State Champion in Skeet and Sporting Clays. So, she knows a fair amount about reloading shotgun shells!
And, we found a company that would drop-ship the reloading components to our customers. Meaning, we take the orders and THEY do the inventory and shipping. Isn’t that cool!
Of course, there are a lot of terms associated with reloading components – like, around 11,000! Bullets, primers, casings, powders, 40 cal bullets, Remington bullets…you get the picture. Well the Keywords Research Analysis Tool takes all those words and sorts them according to root word, like “bullet” or “powder” and then ranks them according to KEI. KEI is the ratio of demand (the number of searches in a given period) vs competition (the number of competing pages). Needless to say, the Keywords Research Analysis Tool makes short work of all these keywords and then categorizes them in a way that you can make sense of them.
Of course, a picture is worth a thousand words, so check out the video. But before you do that, let me ask you something…
What if you were going to start a restaurant tomorrow? What would would you give to know:
-how many people would walk into your restaurant next month
-what they would order
-how much they were willing to pay for their meal
-what kinds of food they liked
Would that information be valuable to you? Of course it would! So watch the video and see how you can use the Keyword Research Analysis Tool to find out what the market wants in your niche!
