"like flies to an outhouse"
I live in a small Texas town with a large university. For some reason, I find that “academic” types love to meddle in other people’s business. They want to tell you where to live, what streets to drive on, what colors you can paint a building (I kid you not!).
Naturally, these “social engineers” want to do all this with OTHER PEOPLE’S MONEY. And naturally they gravitate to local government like flies to an outhouse.
They know what’s best for you, even if you are too stupid to figure it out for yourself …or too dim to acknowledge their right to run your life.
Now, I am a freedom guy. I don’t like having someone else tell me where to live, how much money I should make, what kind of clothes I should wear, what to recycle and the rest. That’s why I have oriented my life and my business to afford as much freedom for me and my family as humanly possible.
So, when our fair city and its misguided mayor decided to annex a neighboring town against its will, I was very upset. But I had to laugh at what the neighboring town did. They started a campaign to recall the mayor and four city councilmen …of our city! And they are getting thousands of signatures from the disgruntled residents …who live in our city!
How cool is that!
Now the local paper is all up in arms about how city government will grind to a halt because of the recall. Oh if only more local, state and federal governments ground to a halt and were forced to abandon there arrogant social engineering programs!
So if someone much bigger is picking on you, do what our neighboring town did …hit ‘em where it hurts! Don’t let anyone stand between you and your God-given freedom!
