Backward Links

I’m sure you know the importance of backward links, but I wanted to show you an example of one.  Some of my students who are new to online selling don’t realize how they work.  To make a backward link you need 2 things:  your URL and your keyword phrase.  Here’s an example.

1.  URL:  www.InternshipsToday.com

2.  keyword phrase:  paid internships new york city

To make the backward link, you post both of those on a site that has good traffic so Google will find it, like this:

paid internships new york city

When you click on the link above, you are taken to the main website, InternshipsToday.com.  But, Google reads the link as your keyword phrase, “paid internships new york city”.

You can do the same thing to drive traffic to your site for your specific keyword phrases.
